got a late start today with the blog edits and trying to work on the bikes.  We eventually didn't leave until about 11:45.  But enough of that.  Last night we got to share time with our hosts, Eve, Grace and Lucas.  Eve, the 6 year old shared the contents of her jewelry box in addition to a little dance routine as her jewelry box was also a music box with a pretty ballerina on it.  Grace had this really cool atlas book where I showed her our travels.  She showed me her travels from 'Chicago to Virginia to Connecticut then she also showed and told me about their southern 'California trip with Lego land, Disney land and San Diego zoo.  Lucas is an artist and likes to draw.  He shared with us his drawing book with lots of neat sketches.

I felt good this morning, kinda in command.  Could be that the room that I slept in was once occupied by Lafayette the great French General......or it could have been the great pumpkin pancakes, either one works for me.

A few shots around the grounds

The Biking Gang as they gave us the send off....

And our parting shot.

At this point I would like to interject (okay, so put up with it).  We both seem to be doing much better with the daily rides.  the first week of riding AND our day off at Bev and Dan's really helped.  Not going much further each day, but feeling better.  So THANKS Bev and Dan!!!!!!

I probably didn't mention that our bed and breakfast was in Stafford Springs, somewhere in Connecticut.  Here are some pictures of Stafford and the way out of it.

Further down  the road a rock cut!!!!

in case you didn't recognize, the start of fall colors.

Not quite fall colors, but pretty colorful flowers just the same.

'The big town of Ellington.

I didn't mention that the squishy brakes were in the hydraulics,  The pads were fine this morning when I checked.  I was going to add break fluid, but found out I didn't have the right torx to open the reservoir.  $18 later in Ellington I now have a small torx wrench set.....bet your less worried now  ;>)

Clouds over a water tower....Barb said a must take.....:>)

The Connecticut river at Windsor Locks.....neecless to say I was disappointed, no locks in sight.  But pretty river

By this time it was getting late, must scurry along, ie no pictures.  Staying at the Granby Hotel tonight.  Good shower and ready to hit the sack....Buenas Noches
