The Drive............

We have started our journey, by driving across the country.  For some reason I thought the blog should start when the bike ride did.... I have been informed that that is not the case, it was when we left the house....silly me.  (thanks for informing me Peg)  It is not something that I would do as a steady diet, but it was fun driving through the heartland and beyond.  So kick back and enjoy some of the pics.

Jackass Rhubarb wine anyone...unfortunately didn't get to try

The guys lined up for a photo shoot

Barb starting to carbo load
This this the Crazy Horse Monument.  For comparison, all of the heads in Rushmore will fit in Crazy Horse's head......They have a lot of work left to do.

Can't do the Midwest without the corn palace, or at least I was told by someone from Missouri.  All of the pictures are done with corn husks

Over half way across and Barb decides to take pictures of state signs.....novel thought

Six days later we arrive in Greensboro to the "in-laws" (Barbs Brother)  and no this isn't her brother Roger.  this is their delightful pooch Harper Lee.  They informed us that Harper would settle down after we had been there a while.......Guess 3 days wasn't a while enough.....  Fun dog though and resaonably well behaved for a 10 month old
This  is us with Barbs Brother Roger, his wife Suzie and their daughter Molly.  They showed us around Greensboro went for walks in parks and kicked back.  This was our night out at Natty Greenes micro brewery.  We were treated like royalty and they even invited us back (which is good because that's where the bike trip ends)
Leaving from the Greensboro station

Eight hours later the DC train station......5 hour layover then off to Boston!!!!
