Well we visited, and visited, and visited...... Bev and Dan are artists, she mostly paints and he is a puppeteer.  She works on things like prototype eyes for dolls, and coloring images for animated movies.  The coloring seems to be more for getting the 3-d image correct.  And sorry Bev if that brief explanation isn't very accurate.  I couldn't take pictures as these things are far from production....On the other hand I asked Dan if I could take pictures of his puppet shop and he informed me that to his knowledge, the puppets wouldn't mind.......and if your lucky you might get a peak

In the mean time, Bev and Dan live in a converted barn.  His puppet shop is the main floor, her art shop is below that with living quarters above that.

I loved it in here.....all these people to talk to and Barb couldn't accuse me of talking to myself ;>)

What is really cool is how he makes thing anatomically correct with joints that have stops and allow movement if multiple directions.  He was saying he was working with a Tai Chi Grand Master to demonstrate Tai Chi.  He was showing us the movements that he was going to have to add to his normal puppet movements.
note the stops below the knee.  cant over extend the knee

And then to top if off Dan has been working with disabled people.  He showed us some of the sets he mounts or surrounds the chairs with.  This is a screen the uses for shadow puppets.
laundry day.....

And then it is off to the woods to cut firewood

Dan informed me that in New Hampshire during the late 1700's about 90 percent of the land was developed or used for farming.  Now it is 90% forest.  Quite a bit of this through the New England states.  The farmers found that there were better soils to farm than rock.  So as you wander through the woods you find foundations for old homesteads and misc pieces of equipment.....now, what  was this for?????? kinda fun rummaging through these things,

We needed a few things so Bev drove us to the big city, Providence.  we went to REI and then we walked through an old part of town that included Brown University.  So enjoy the photos. This tree was probably left over from an estate or city square.

Bev kept telling us about the cobble stone roads that were paved over.  She got really excited when we found this alley that hadn't been paved.   Aw the fun things in life that excite us.

We (me) stopped taking pictures for the day, but the day hadn't ended yet. We picked up Bev's daughter, who works at Brown and went to dinner.  It was fun, we talked like family....and we hadn't seen Teal for about 23 years when she was about 8!!!!!!  Very enjoyable evening.
and with that, goodnight
