BUT, not to worry as we had a rude awakening. The Sullivan Trail is not a rail trail with gentle gradients......it is a road that follows a trail cut through the wilderness in the revolutionary times for a general named Sullivan. No rock removal, so steep grades......had to push the bike a couple of times (once for over a half mile). And plenty of traffic. Did I mention that my cable sheath on my front shifter started to unravel not letting me get into low gear in the front????? DAMN!!!!!! Not to worry though with a little fiddling I could get the low and mid gear, so off......
Tried to find a bike shop on our route today.....non-existent so off to a campground in White Haven, some 42 mile day. So enjoy the pics
At the top of the Sullivan trail was a monument to the guys who built the trail. guess it was a long winter.
WOW real fall colors
More shots of the monument, you can read yourself
We made it to our campground in White Haven, nice showers, had dinner within a short walk. All is well and we didn't meet any unsavory characters, so life is good.
